The University of Eldoret (UoE) is situated approximately 9 km along the Eldoret-Ziwa road in Eldoret town, Uasin Gishu County. UoE was established through an award of Charter on 11th February 2013. Before this, the institution had been a campus of Moi University since 1990, until 13th of August 2010 when it was elevated to Chepkoilel University College, a Constituent College of Moi University.
